Lithium Peruranate, Li2O2.(UO4)2
Lithium Peruranate, Li2O2.(UO4)2.8H2O, is obtained by treating a solution of uranyl nitrate with lithium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide, and then precipitating with alcohol. It yields minute, pale yellow crystals. An unstable compound, (Li2O2)2UO4, has also been obtained.
